Even though I am in my second year of my degree, I
have gone over the journalism curriculum many times. So there are a few things
I would like to change about this one.
About the subjects I have, I think I would eliminate
some that I don't think are totally necessary. In the career we have
"Electives of Basic Training" (EFB) that help to complement the
career in specific areas. To get the degree credits we are asked to total 16
credits in these subjects, which would mean taking 6 to 8 of these. Although I
think they are courses in which you learn very interesting things, I do not see
them as useful to develop professionally and often worsen the academic load. So
I would cut the credits in half, just 8.
I haven't been to the university much, so I don't know
it well enough to change its structure, but from what I've been told, the
classrooms are very limited, so I'd like to see them make more classrooms for
when they are needed. I would also add more equipment for work, be it more
microphones, cameras, and other sound equipment, so that it would be enough for
all the students. In addition, I would also like to see more licenses to work with programs like Phothoshop, as we currently have to share them.
As for the teaching methods, I think they are quite
good, although I would perhaps add more opportunities to be able to apply what
we have learned.
Hi Anahí! I would also shorten the amount of credits needed to complete the EFB's! That's a lot!
